Federal Skilled Worker CategoryMost Provinces in
Canada has established their own process for attracting and selecting skilled
workers.
To be processed as a Federal skilled worker, applicants for permanent residence
in Canada must:
1. Have at least one continuous year of full-time paid work experience or the
equivalent in part-time continuous employment. The work experience must be in
the category of Skill Type 0, A or B on the Canadian
National Occupational
Classification.
2. Show proof of having sufficient funds to support at least 6 months of their
initial stay in Canada:
